Apivita was founded in 1979 in Athens by two pharmacists, Nikos and Niki Koutsianas, who were deeply influenced by the holistic heritage of Greek nature, the wisdom of Hippocrates, and the remarkable life of the bee. Long before natural beauty became a trend, they began creating their first skincare products right in their pharmacy using propolis, honey, Greek herbs, and essential oils, ingredients known for their healing and nurturing properties.

The name Apivita comes from the Latin words Apis (bee) and Vita (life), a philosophy that reflects their belief in the bee as a symbol of harmony, resilience, and vitality.
